Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
1. Introduction
Meetham (மீதம்) ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to data collection and storage when you use our mobile application.
Our core philosophy is absolute privacy. Therefore, the Meetham app is built to be a 100% offline application by default.
2. Data Collection and Storage
Meetham operates entirely on your local device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial data on any external servers or cloud infrastructure.
- Financial Data: All bank statements, transactions, accounts, and budgets are stored locally in an encrypted database on your device.
- No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, crashlytics, or user behavior tracking scripts.
- No Cloud Sync: Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup file yourself.
3. Local Permissions
The app may request the following permissions solely for local functionality:
- Storage/File Access: Required only when you choose to import bank statement files (PDF/CSV) or export local backups.
- Biometrics: Required if you enable App Lock, to authenticate you using your device's secure hardware. We never have access to your fingerprint or face data.
4. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the app is offline and does not "phone home," we will notify you of any changes by updating the policy within new app updates on the Google Play Store.
